A seasoned communications strategist with over 15 years of experience, Sahar Robertson has worked in senior roles in the White House, the U.S. House of Representatives, on political campaigns and across non-profit sector. She served as Senior Advisor for Communications and Strategy to California Governor Gavin Newsom where she led messaging and planning on major cross government initiatives including California’s roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines. For more than six years, she ran brand and message development, profile and influence building, and crisis communications as Senior Advisor and Communications Director for the country’s largest service sector labor union SEIU. As Chief Communications Officer of the ten-million-member democratic digital campaigning organization, MoveOn, Sahar oversaw brand, communications, digital, creative, and media.

With a deep background in environmental, sustainability and clean energy communications, Sahar helped build and execute a successful international communications strategy, ahead of the UN’s Paris Climate Talks in support of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fifth Assessment on climate science. She also worked across government and with the private sector on President Obama’s environmental, sustainability, and clean energy initiatives as Communications Director for the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and Associate Administrator for Communications and Marketing at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). At Fenton she managed the D.C. Office’s environmental, clean energy, and political advocacy accounts. Sahar is fluent In Urdu and started her work in clean energy communications at a boutique PR firm in Houston, Texas where she pursued her B.S. in Political Science at the University of Houston.
